Günther Fleig has been a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since October 1, 1999, and is responsible for Human Resources. He is also Director of Labor Relations of the company.
Günther Fleig was born in Mönchweiler in the Black Forest on February 2, 1949. He studied economics at the University of Freiburg from 1967 to 1972, earning a degree in economics.
His professional career began in 1972 at the accounting and tax consultancy firm of KPMG. In 1980 he joined the then Daimler-Benz AG to work on the development of global accounting. From 1983, Günther Fleig was Head of Finance and Controlling at WMF AG. In 1988 he returned to work for Daimler-Benz AG and from 1990 he headed Finance and Controlling Management at Mercedes-Benz AG. |
