McGuinness has over 19 years of experience in global commercial development of public and private U.S. and European biotechnology companies. Prior to joining NimbleGen, McGuinness was director of European business development for Gene Logic Inc. He spent several years in the U.S. as director of channel management at Affymetrix and director of sales and distributor relations at Genetic MicroSystems Inc (GMS). Prior to GMS McGuinness developed significant business at Stratagene Inc. and Perkin Elmer, Applied BioSystems Division. McGuinness graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacology, toxicology, and molecular biology. He also has a diploma in management studies from Oxford Brookes University and a Master’s degree in international business from Trinity College Dublin. |
