Mr. Bee is an associate in the Business and Finance Department of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. He received his undergraduate degree and master's degree in philosophy from Ohio University and graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a member of the University of Michigan Health Law Society. Mr. Bee concentrates his practice on a range of corporate issues, particularly as they relate to physicians and health care entities. He has advised clients on business start-up and financing, contract negotiation, employment matters, hospital and physician joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions (health care and non-), food and drug law matters, hospital medical staff issues, state professional and facility licensing issues, and various other health care regulatory matters including HIPAA, Stark and Anti-Kickback issues. Transactions and representative engagements in which Mr. Bee has been involved include the formation of a venture capital fund, the formation and ongoing representation of a physician-owned group purchasing organization, formation and ongoing representation of ambulatory surgical centers, creation of a physician referral entity, representation of physician groups and institutions in academic medical center and faculty practice plan matters, representation of a national eye surgery business, and numerous other corporate and employment matters for businesses of all sizes. He is engaged in various charitable and civic activities through the Cincinnati Bar Association and serves on the Board of Directors of The Schoolhouse Symphony and the Advisory Board of Building Blocks Foundation. Mr. Bee is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. |
