Profile
Greg Guevara is a partner in the Labor and Employment Group, representing national, regional and local clients in labor and employment matters and litigation. He has extensive experience representing, counseling and training employers in all aspects of compliance with federal and state employment laws, including wrongful discharge, EEO compliance, disability and reasonable accommodation issues, Family and Medical Leave Act compliance, wage and hour compliance, non-compete/non-disclosure agreements, executive compensation and severance, alternative dispute resolution, personnel policies and procedures, sexual harassment claims and investigations, employer reductions-in-force, state law wage claims, common law claims, and other federal and state employment laws. Mr. Guevara regularly represents employers in litigated matters in federal and state court and before federal and state administrative agencies involving these matters. He also represents management in traditional labor law matters, including union avoidance, unfair labor practice investigations and litigation, union representation proceedings, collective bargaining and grievance arbitration. In addition, Mr. Guevara serves as general legal counsel to various faith-based and values-based non-profit organizations located in central Indiana.
Mr. Guevara began his law career as an associate with Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, and most recently served as managing director and legal counsel for Great Commission Ministries, Inc., an international non-profit mission organization based in Orlando, Florida. He returned to the firm as a partner in August 2006. His experience in private practice, board governance and non-profit management gives him the ability to provide practical guidance and sound management advice to businesses dealing with a full range of employment-related issues. Mr. Guevara is admitted to practice law in the states of Ohio and Indiana.
