Gregory Taylor is senior vice president-Corporate Planning and Strategy for United. He is based at the company's headquarters in Chicago.
Named to the position in December 2006, Taylor is responsible for driving United's cost-control efforts and determining appropriate revenue targets to achieve margin leadership. In addition, he leads the company's business and strategic planning and analytical efforts.
Prior to this, Taylor was senior vice president-Planning, where he was responsible for all aspects of United and United Express network planning and revenue management, including maximizing schedules and route networks, developing effective pricing that meets customer needs, the interests of United and allocation of the airline’s seat inventory. Taylor began his career in the airline industry at United in 1975. He has held various positions in food services, the Information Services Division, flight operations, financial planning and analysis and revenue management. He served in a variety of positions with U.S. Airways from 1999 to 2002, including president and vice president of U.S. Airways Express, vice president of Financial Planning and Analysis and senior vice president of Planning.
Taylor holds a master's degree in business administration and bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Chicago. He currently serves on the board of Airline Tariff Publishing Company. |
