Gregory M. Tears is an associate in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on public finance. Greg serves as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, trustee's counsel and bank counsel on various tax-exempt and taxable financings for public power facilities, higher education, and hospitals. Greg also works on general obligation and revenue financings for state and local governments and authorities. Before coming to Drinker, Greg was in practice with Nixon Peabody LLP in New York where was an associate in the global finance group. He previously had been an associate at McCarter & English, LLP in Newark, New Jersey in their public finance group.
Greg earned his B.A. in English and American literature and language in 1998 from Harvard University and his J.D. in 2002 from Rutgers University School of Law - Newark, where he was editor of the Rutgers Law Review. Greg is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers. |
