J. Gregory Yawman is a member of the Business Department, where he primarily focuses on corporate matters. Mr. Yawman’s representation of businesses includes public and private offering of securities, venture financing, mergers and acquisitions of both public and private companies, securities law compliance, and general corporate counseling and representation. Mr. Yawman recently joined Miles & Stockbridge after approximately 10 years as in-house counsel at McCormick & Co. Mr. Yawman represented McCormick in the establishment and operation of wholly owned subsidiaries and joint ventures in Mexico, Uruguay, Australia, Japan, China, Indonesia and Thailand. The joint ventures involved both sourcing and distribution of product. He has also advised McCormick on co-pack agreements, distribution agreements, licensing agreements and other strategic alliances in many of these countries. Mr. Yawman is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Buffalo Law Review.
