Gregory J. Wrenn joined Borland in October 2006 as senior vice president and general counsel. In this role, Mr. Wrenn is responsible for the direction and management of Borland’s legal department and all legal matters affecting the company. Mr. Wrenn brings to Borland more than 15 years of legal and corporate governance experience, having held senior management positions at companies such as Openwave Systems, Inc., Yahoo! Inc. and Adobe Systems.
Most recently, Mr. Wrenn served as senior vice president and general counsel at Openwave Systems, responsible for a staff of nearly 30 individuals globally. At Openwave he was responsible for counseling senior management and the board of directors on all legal matters including corporate governance and reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and mergers and acquisitions. Before Openwave, Mr. Wrenn was deputy general counsel, international at Yahoo!, responsible for various international legal matters such as corporate formation and joint ventures, intellectual property protection and risk management. Prior to Yahoo!, he served as senior corporate counsel at Adobe Systems where he was charged with supporting product development and business teams, as well as managing Adobe’s global trademark portfolio and anti-piracy programs.
Mr. Wrenn earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. |
