Gregory J. Owens, chairman and chief executive officer of Manugistics, has been the driving force behind Manugistics record annual revenues in its most recent fiscal year. The company's impressive growth under Owen\'s leadership was most recently recognized by the Technology Council of Maryland, honoring Owens as the Executive of the Year and Manugistics as The Company of the Year for 2002. Since joining the company in April 1999, Owens has invested aggressively in strengthening and growing Manugistics\' sales organization, marketing initiatives and technology innovations globally. An active member of the Washington, DC metropolitan area community, Owens has been recognized as Maryland\'s 2001 Entrepreneur of the Year for software and was also a finalist for the 2001 CEO of the Year for the DC region. Owens is the former Global Managing Partner for the Accenture Supply Chain Management Practice, where Owens oversaw an extensive client list of Fortune 500 companies. Owens graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1982 with a bachelor\'s of science degree in industrial management. |
