Mr. Turnbull was elected to the position of Chairman of the Board in September 2005; he has served as a Director of Planar since 1986. He currently is self-employed as a private investor and a consultant. Mr. Turnbull was a partner of Cable & Howse Ventures a venture capital firm from 1983 to 1991 and served as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley & Co. and White Weld & Co. before 1983. Mr. Turnbull also serves on the Board of Directors of A.P. Pharma Inc. He received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University and an MBA from Stanford University.
