Gregory A. Duncan is Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc., and President and Chief Executive Officer of one of its affiliate banks, Susquehanna Bank PA. As COO, he is responsible for the overall implementation of Susquehanna’s strategic plans.
Mr. Duncan joined one of Susquehanna’s affiliate banks in 1987 as Vice President of Lending. In 1992, he was promoted to President & CEO of Citizens National Bank of Southern Pennsylvania, one of the company’s affiliate banks; he also joined Susquehanna’s corporate officers as a Vice President. He was promoted to Senior Vice President of Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc. in 1998 and became Executive Vice President in 2000. In 2001, he assumed the title and responsibilities of Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. He was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Susquehanna Bank PA in October 2005. Prior to joining Susquehanna, he served as an officer of Mellon Bank with assignments in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Denver, Colorado.
He is a cum laude graduate of Eastern Washington University, Cheney, Wash., with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs. He received his master’s degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management, Glendale, Ariz., with a concentration in banking and finance.
Mr. Duncan currently serves as chairman for the Lancaster General Medical Group, the physician practice subsidiary of Lancaster General hospital and healthcare system in Lancaster, Pa. |
