Mr. Blake has advised healthcare companies on a variety of merger and acquisition, financing, and strategic matters. Examples include advising a public company on a $60 million bid for a manufacturer of monitoring equipment for the operating room, a $66 million public recapitalization of a dental practice management firm, and the secondary sale of a venture capital fund's stakes in three privately-held pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Mr. Blake has an exceptional set of senior-level relationships in the healthcare industry, from multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical companies to emerging, development-stage firms. He also has contacts throughout the investment community in North America and Europe. Most recently, Mr. Blake was an investment banker with Burnham Securities, a middle-market boutique in New York. Prior to Burnham, he was an investment banker and head of business development at Marco Polo Partners. He was also the founder and CEO of Internaut Trading Ltd., a Dublin-based, pan-European online securities brokerage, and began his career with Lehman Brothers and JP Morgan. He holds an M.S. in International Political Economy from Florida State University, and was an undergraduate at Southern Illinois University. |
