Mr. Gregg M. Steinberg is President of International Profit Associates (IPA) and affiliated companies, which combined form the largest consulting firm in the world delivering a broad spectrum of services solely to the small and midsize business marketplace. Collectively, the companies have 2,000+ employees throughout North America. Crain’s Chicago Business newspaper has ranked the company as one of the largest consulting firms in Illinois for nine consecutive years (ranked #6 in 2006).
Mr. Steinberg joined IPA in 1992 (revenues $5 million), became its CFO in 1995 (revenues $24 million), and took over as President in 1997 (revenues $54 million). During his term as President, IPA revenues reached $250 million by 2006. At IPA, Mr. Steinberg’s responsibilities include operating reviews of all entities, as well as management of the combined operations in terms of assuring that all companies are meeting short-term financial targets and long term strategic goals.
Prior to joining IPA, Mr. Steinberg held various positions including, Vice President of a hotel management company, President of a financial advisory firm, Assistant Director Mergers & Acquisitions for a national investment banking firm, and Director of Corporate Finance for a public accounting firm.
Mr. Steinberg’s affiliations and memberships include Young President’s Organization (YPO), American Management Association (AMA), Turnaround Management Association (TMA), Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
A civic leader, Mr. Steinberg currently serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel), as well as a National Executive Committee Member and Chairman of the Midwest Region American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science. He is Vice-Chair of the Midwest Board Operation Hope, Board Member of the Touchstones Discussion Project, and plays a leadership role with the Illinois Commission on Diversity and Human Relations. Additionally, Mr. Steinberg serves on the Executive Advisory Committee of the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Rochester.
A current member of the US Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Council, International Policy Council and Homeland Security Taskforce, Mr. Steinberg is widely quoted and published on issues relative to business in North America and is seen as an expert resource relative to small business and entrepreneurial issues.
A published author and speaker, Mr. Steinberg is a Graduate of the University of Arizona, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. |
