Smith oversees a team of bankers focused on
M&A and structured finance transactions.
He has advised clients in the United States and
around the globe on many broad based
corporate finance and M&A assignments. His
clients have included many of the leading
corporate and private equity entities including
FIAT S.p.A TIAA-CREF Ingram Industries
Itochu Arvin Meritor Lear Eagle Picher Foster
Wheeler Citicorp Venture Capital and American
Industrial Partners among others.
Prior to CIT Smith was CEO of Deloitte &
Touche Corporate Finance LLC the investment
banking arm of Deloitte & Touche.
Smith received his B.S. in Finance from Michigan
State University and his MBA from the University
of Michigan. He also served in the U.S. Marine
