Retired Executive Vice President, Administrative and Corporate Services ChevronTexaco Corporation
Greg Matiuk was named a director of Swift Energy Company in September 2003. He retired as executive vice president, administrative and corporate services of ChevronTexaco Corp. in March 2003 after 36 years of service. A native of New York, he graduated from Michigan Technological University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in geological engineering. He began his career at ChevronTexaco in 1967 as a production and reservoir engineer and served in various engineering and management positions in production, corporate strategic planning, human resources and corporate services. Among the variety of positions Mr. Matiuk held in production, he served as manager of drilling and production in Australia, general manager for Chevron U.K. Ltd. in Aberdeen, Scotland, and vice president and general manager of the Western Business Unit for Chevron U.S.A. Production Co., in Bakersfield, California. He became vice president of strategic planning and quality in October 1996, and he was appointed vice president, human resources and quality in 1998. In 2001, he was named executive vice president, administrative and corporate services. He has also served as a board member for various other organizations including the National Council for Minorities in Engineering, United Way, the Bakersfield Symphony, Boy Scouts of America and INROADS. |
