Greg Estes joined Avid in December 2006 as vice president and chief marketing officer, responsible for the company’s global brand and corporate marketing initiatives. In this capacity, Greg is the champion of marketing programs that span the wide range of Avid family brands that help customers make, manage and move media.
Greg’s professional career includes more than 20 years working for technology- and entertainment-related businesses. Prior to joining Avid, he served as vice president of global marketing for Mountain View, CA-based Silicon Graphics, where he was instrumental in the company’s development of animation, special effects, video serving, and digital asset management solutions. Estes was also a founding member of RasterOps Corporation, which developed the first color graphics boards and video capture devices for the Macintosh II in the late 1980’s.
Like many Avid employees, Greg has a background in entertainment and media, having performed as a keyboardist, guitarist and session musician for several bands in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as composing music for numerous video productions throughout his career. |
