As Director of Relations and Communications, Greg D. Kubiak is responsible for planning and implementing SURA relations activities to promote SURA’s visibility as a regional organization with national impact. He provides leadership and overall management of SURA’s relations program including activities and relations with the media, government organizations and agencies, member institutions and other organizations.
Before joining SURA in 2004, Mr. Kubiak was Senior Policy Manager for five years with the Southern Governors’ Association based in Washington the oldest and historically largest regional governors’ association. Prior to joining SGA, he worked for other non-profit and policy organizations as well as Legislative Director for U.S. Senator David L. Boren of Oklahoma. Mr. Kubiak earned a bachelors degree in political science from the University of Oklahoma and authored, The Gilded Dome: The U.S. Senate and Campaign Finance Reform published by the University of Oklahoma Press. He lives in Washington, D.C. |
