Gordon Eubanks was formerly president and CEO of Oblix Inc., a leading provider of enterprise identity management solutions. Since 1999, he had managed the company’s rapid growth while establishing its position as an industry leader.
After founding C&E Software which was acquired by Symantec Corporation in 1984 Gordon served as president and chief executive officer of Symantec from 1984 to 1999. During his leadership, Symantec evolved into one of the world’s most prominent software companies. In 1975, Gordon founded Compiler Systems, Inc., authoring the company’s products which included CBASIC, one of the first successful languages for personal computers. The company was acquired by Digital Research in August 1981, where Gordon served as a senior executive responsible for commercial system software development and marketing.
Holder of an Electrical Engineering degree from Oklahoma State University and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, Gordon served in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear submarine force as a commissioned officer from 1970 to 1979. Gordon currently serves on the boards of Oblix, Genuity Estate, Applied Minds and M7 and is an active member of industry trade associations, including a past tenure as chairman and president of the Software Publishers Association. |
