Gooi Soon Chai is vice president and general manager of the Electronic Instruments Business Unit within Agilent’s Electronic Measurements Group (EMG). This business unit is responsible for creating a portfolio of industry-leading products services and test solutions for the general purpose electronics test markets. EIBU has operations in China Japan Malaysia Singapore United Kingdom and North America.
GOOI joined the company in 1985. He has extensive international experience in the semiconductor and electronics instrument measurement industries where he held diverse roles in manufacturing order fulfillment IT and business management. He was instrumental in the consolidation and streamlining of the global supply chain for the wireless semiconductor and electronic measurement businesses. He also established the measurement systems business in Asia. He was named to his current position in February 2005.
GOOI holds a bachelor's degree with first class honors in electrical and electronics engineering from London University and a master's degree in computer engineering from Imperial College U.K. |
