Glenn S. Gerstell is the managing partner of the Washington, DC office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, and heads the firm's global communications practice. He is also active in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure development and insolvencies in various industries around the world.
Mr. Gerstell is listed in the current editions of Chambers Global The World's Leading Lawyers, Chambers USA, International Who's Who of Business Lawyers 2007, Lawdragon's Leading Lawyers in America, Euromoney's Guide to the World's Leading Telecommunications Lawyers, and An International Who's Who of Telecom Lawyers.
A partner in Milbank since 1985, he has served in the firm's New York (1976-80), Washington (1980-88) offices, and was the managing partner in the firm's Singapore (1988-89) and Hong Kong (1989-96) offices.
Mr. Gerstell is the general editor of Telecoms Project Documentation, published by Euromoney. A frequent speaker at legal and business conferences, he is also the author of numerous articles on legal topics. He served as Adjunct Professor of Law for several years at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Mr. Gerstell also served in a volunteer capacity from 2001 to 2007 as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority, an independent agency of the Washington, DC government with an "AA" bond rating that provides drinking water to Washington and wastewater services to the 2 million people in the metropolitan capital region.
He is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law (JD, 1976, Harlan Fiske Stone scholar) and of New York University, University Heights College of Arts and Science (BA cum laude, 1974). |
