Glen has been in the dairy business for 30 years and, in addition to milking 300 Jerseys on 360 acres, has a 100-cow-calf beef operation. He is a member of DFA’s Southeast Area Council Resolutions Committee. Glen also is president of both the Regional United Dairy Herd Improvement Association and the Advisory Committee of the Dairy Records Processing Center in Raleigh. He is an active member of the South Carolina Farm Bureau Dairy Committee, the American Jersey Cattle Club, the National All-Jersey, and the Dairy Shrine, and he also is a delegate to Southeast United Dairy Industry Association. He serves on the South Carolina National Animal Identification System Steering Committee. In 2006, he was named Laurens County Agriculturalist of the Year and Laurens County Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Quarter. |
