Mr. Wakeman was appointed CEO of Doral Financial and member of the Board of Directors in August 15, 2006. He served as the Company's President and Chief Operating Officer since May 30, 2006.

Responsible for 17,000 employees and more than 500 branches providing products and services including bankcards, consumer loans, commercial loans, construction, merchant processing, and retail finance. Responsible for acquisitions, integrations, downsizing, turnarounds, operations and business development.
Mr. Wakeman holds a B.S. in Economics and Finance from the University of Scranton and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
