Glen R. Gilbert joined BFC Financial Corporation in November 1980 as Vice President and Chief Accountant. In May 1987 he became Chief Financial and Accounting Officer, in October 1988 he was named Corporate Secretary, and in July 1997 he was appointed Executive Vice President. From 1987 through 2005, Mr. Gilbert also held various positions at Levitt Corporation including Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Secretary, Executive Vice President, and Senior Executive Vice President.
He provides the BFC family with financial management, overseeing the Company’s accounting, public reporting and overall responsibility for the company’s financial operations. Mr. Gilbert has a wealth of financial management expertise. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1970. Prior to joining BFC, Mr. Gilbert was a manager at KPMG LLP and in that capacity worked on assignments in various industries including municipalities, transportation, mobile home financing, wholesale, credit unions, homebuilding, land development, and other real estate related.
Mr. Gilbert is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a graduate of the University of Florida. |
