Glen Paul Freiberg has held the position of Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance since April 2007. Prior to joining Alphatec, Mr. Freiberg was Vice President Regulatory, Quality and Government Affairs at Gen-Probe, a pioneering biotech firm working on the development and commercialization of new blood-testing and other infectious disease technologies. Also previously, he was Vice President of Regulatory, Clinical and Quality Systems for C.R. Bard's Diagnostic Division in Seattle. Mr. Freiberg's employment history includes the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as an Investigator in the Boston District and industry positions in areas regulated by three FDA Centers covering Drugs, Biologics and Medical Devices. He has also served three terms as the Industry Representative on FDA Advisory Panels, first for the Clinical Chemistry/Toxicology and then the Immunology Panel. He is Co-Founder and past President of the San Diego Regulatory Affairs Network and has been active in a variety of educational programs. Mr. Freiberg received both his Bachelor's (Biology) and Master's (Microbiology) degrees from University of Colorado. He is also Regulatory Affairs Certified. |
