Giuseppe Rossi is VP of Technology of AltaSens with more than 10 years experience in the field of imaging. He is currently involved with technology development, product definition and design development of CMOS image sensors for HD hybrid video camcorders. Prior to his current position, he served as Director of Engineering and later as VP of Engineering during AltaSens' inception and initial product development deployment. During his tenure, he was responsible for technical development, design implementation and product engineering of the ProCamHD sensor family. Formerly, he was with Micron Imaging as a Design Manager for the Mobile Phone Group where he was responsible for the design of high volume low-power/low-noise VGA and 1.3 Mpixel CMOS sensors for mobile applications. He currently holds 21 patents and several pending patent applications in the imaging design field. Rossi received his BSEE, MSEE from Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy and his Ph.D. in Physics from Université Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France for work on X-ray imaging detectors at the ESRF (European Synchrotron Research Facility), Grenoble, France. He was also a visiting scientist at Princeton University and a Research Associate at Cornell University in the field of high performance X-ray imaging. |
