Gitanjali Swamy is a Senior Associate focused on U.S. venture and growth equity opportunities. She is based in San Francisco.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Ms. Swamy was with Matrix Partners, a venture capital firm. Prior to that, she was Senior Director of Marketing and Vice President of Corporate Development at Smartlink Radio Networks, Director of Strategic Marketing at Envoy Network and Marketing Manager at The Mathworks. She began her career developing new products at Mentor Graphics Corporation and later as an Associate at Booz Allen and Hamilton. She also helped found Auripay and served on the Board of Directors. Prior to Carlyle, her venture investments include Oat Systems, Noble Device Technologies, Cyota and she has nearly 20 research publications.
Ms. Swamy received her Bachelor's in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and her Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was a National Science Foundation Fellow. |
