Ms. Ford develops commercialization and reimbursement strategies for specialty products facing unique access situations. She has 15 years of health care experience and most recently has worked in preparing specialty products for commercial launch. Ms. Ford was a Senior Director of Reimbursement for a specialty pharmaceutical company where she led field teams to create favorable payer policies and internal hotline teams for best practice claims management. Her leadership has resulted in the commercial launch of two specialty products through the development and implementation of payer strategy across multiple payer segments. Prior to entering the specialty pharmaceutical industry, Ms. Ford was a clinical pharmacist and served as the Executive Director for the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists, responsible for the implementation of the pharmaceutical compounding section of the FDA Modernization Act of 1997 in collaboration with Congress and FDA. In 2000, Ms. Ford received Drug Topics Magazine's "Pharmacist of the Year" award recognizing her contributions to women's health care and design of a novel distribution network in menopause management. Ms. Ford received her BS in Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and her MBA from Capella University. |
