Experience:
Gianluca Bacchiocchi is a partner in Mayer Brown’s Latin American practice. He is currently located in the São Paulo office and focuses on representing issuers and underwriters in various international transactions, including public and private issuances of asset-backed securities, private issuances of future-flow backed securities, and project bond financings. His work in these financings includes Regulation 144A and Regulation S issuances.
In addition, Gianluca assists lenders with international debt restructurings and general secured and unsecured lending arrangements. Reflecting this cross-border practice, his language capabilities include Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Notable Engagements:
In 2007, Gianluca acted on the first Mexican mortgage-backed cross-border securitization, the award-winning Lima Airport Partners project bond financing, a future-flow securitization for Banco de Crédito del Peru, and several toll road financings, including the award-winning IIRSA Sur Tramo 2 and 3 project.
