Gerhard Schulmeyer is Professor of Practice at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He assumed this position in January 2002 after serving as president and chief executive officer of Siemens Corporation, the holding company for U.S. businesses of Siemens AG (Munich, Germany), a world leader in electrical engineering and electronics in the information and communications, automation and control, power transportation, medical and lighting fields, from January 1999 to December 2001. Prior to assuming such positions, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Nixdorf, Munich/Paderborn, a position he held since 1994. He serves on the board of directors of Alcan Inc., Zurich Financial Services, and Korn/Ferry International. |
