Gerhard Resch-Fingerlos leads Executive Assessment Services for Spencer Stuart in Europe, South Africa, Middle East, India and Asia.

Gerhard is a member of the firm’s Technology, Communications & Media and Industrial practices. With more than 10 years of executive search experience, he concentrates on top-level assignments in the industrial, information technology and telecommunication sectors. He also brings extensive experience in executive assessment.

Gerhard’s professional career began in 1989 with PCD Polymere Gmbh (now Borealis), a subsidiary of the OMV Group, the largest industrial group in Austria, where he developed from a trainee position to head of sales and marketing in charge of a turnover of EUR 500 mio. In 1995, he moved to the Frantschach Group in Vienna as marketing manager of Frantschach Packaging AG, where he was responsible for the development of an international key account management system and the sales coordination of 18 subsidiaries in Europe.

After an eight-year career in international management, he decided to change direction and joined a leading international executive search firm as management consultant in 1997. He focused his efforts on establishing the firm’s local technology practice.

In 1999, Gerhard accepted an offer to establish the new Vienna office of another leading international executive search firm. In 2000, he was promoted to partner and in 2002 he was promoted to managing partner of Austria and Poland. Now, with Spencer Stuart, Gerhard focuses on top-level assignments in the industrial sector, as well as the telecommunications and IT industries.

Gerhard studied business administration at the WU (University of Business and Economics) in Vienna and earned his M.B.A. from the University of Cincinnati in the U.S.
