Gerard Montanus joined Atlas Venture in 1984. He is a Partner in the technology group and specializes in components, systems and software.
Gerry currently serves on Portfolio Company Boards for Azea Networks, Nexagent, Ocean Broadband, and Xelerated .
Gerry began his career at NMB (now ING Bank ), specializing in financial services for medium and large-sized companies. He opened Atlas Venture's London office in 1997 and is based in London. Examples of Atlas Venture Portfolio Company Boards on which Gerry has served are: eDreams, Ltd sold to TA associates in 2006; Aethos Communications Systems, which was acquired by LogicaCMG in 1998; Danionics, which was listed on the Copenhagen exchange in 2001; Element 14, which was acquired by Broadcom (NASDAQ: BRCM) in 2000; Orchestream, which went public at the London stock exchange and Prolin, which was acquired by Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) in 1997.
He studied Business Economics.
