Jerry Skidmore started Skidmore Enterprises in the Fall of 1963 after leaving Archer Daniels (ADM), where he was National Sales Manager for a line of technical grade soy isolates. Jerry was President of Skidmore Sales until 1994, when his son Doug stepped into that role. Jerry has led Skidmore Sales to be who we are today! Our continued focus on the Customer's needs, our "whatever it takes" service mentality, and our view of Supplier's as partners are some of the keys to our success. Throughout his career, Jerry has been active in the Institute of Food Technologist's (IFT). Jerry has served as President and Councilor of our local region (Ohio Valley) and as a member and Chair of the Committee on Membership and Professional Affairs (COMPA). Jerry was also one of the founding members of the Marketing and Management Division of IFT and the Food Ingredient Distributor Association (FIDA). Jerry has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a MBA from Cornell University. |
