Jerry is a telecommunications industry veteran with over 25 years experience, has served on the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) Board of Directors, and has been instrumental in launching several successful telecommunications business ventures, including Dial Call, Integrated Northcoast and McLang Cellular. Most recently the United States ambassador to Portugal, Jerry is a founding principal of the Washington, D.C. law firm Lukas, McGowan, Nace & Gutierrez where he practiced telecommunications law for over 20 years. His background includes serving as clerk to Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Thomas G. Kavanagh and assistant to the late U.S. Senator Phillip A. Hart. In addition, Jerry served on the Board of Directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). Jerry currently serves on the Board of Directors of Portugal Telecom. Jerry received a B.S from Georgetown University followed by a Law Degree from Georgetown University Law Center. |
