Gerald Hobson heads the business litigation group at Faegre & Benson in London and is also the managing partner of the London office.
Gerald has focused his practice in commercial litigation and dispute resolution for over 30 years, gaining extensive experience in almost every aspect of that discipline including, among others, Banking; Intellectual Property; Restraint of Trade; Arbitration; Libel and Defamation; Professional Indemnity Insurance claims; Building and Construction litigation; Engineering disputes; Software litigation & Employment and Labour related matters. In recent years, Gerald has represented clients in Environmental Law and Health and Safety related issues.
Gerald is a CEDR Accredited Mediator and has considerable experience in acting for a wide range of both UK and International clients engaged in a number of different industries, including oilfield services, construction and engineering, healthcare, publishing, magazine distribution and the airline industry.
He has been involved in a number of reported cases, including: Woodhouse and another v Peter Brotherhood Ltd (Court of Appeal); Hollier v Rambler Motors (AMC) Ltd (Court of Appeal); Marshall v Harland & Wolff and another (National Industrial Relations Court); T Lucas & Co Ltd v Mitchell (Court of Appeal).
