Jerry Fulks has served as West Georgia Health System’s President/CEO since August 2001. He received his masters of healthcare administration from the Medical College of Virginia and a bachelor of arts from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
During his career, Fulks has held senior management positions at Bon Secours St. Mary's Health Corporation in Richmond, VA; Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, various Hospital Corporation of America divisions/hospitals including its Physician Services Company, West Paces Ferry Hospital in Atlanta, and Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, where he was CEO. From 1992 until 2001, he served as CEO of Lanier Park Hospital in Gainesville, GA until its merger with Northeast Georgia Health System, where he remained on the senior administrative team until his move to WGHS.
Fulks is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has held leadership roles in GHA: An Association of Hospitals and Healthcare Systems, serving as chairman in 2000 and a member of the GHA executive committee since 1996. He is also an alumnus of Leadership Georgia. |
