Mr. Pientka is First Industrial Realty Trust’s Executive Vice President - Development and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of First Industrial's development activities.
Mr. Pientka has more than 25 years of commercial real estate management and development experience. During his career, he has led the development of more than 2,000 acres of business park land and more than $2 billion of industrial and office space.
Prior to joining First Industrial, Mr. Pientka was Founder and Principal of Verus Partners, a private real estate development firm. Prior to that, he was President of Higgins Development Partners, L.L.C., a private Chicago-based development company.
Mr. Pientka earned a Masters of Management in finance and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Mr. Pientka is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP). He is also board president of Christopher House, a Chicago-based social services agency.
