Gerald A. Kite serves as District 1 director. Kite, who lives in Keating Township, also serves on the Valley Energy and Citizens' Electric Company boards of director.



Stressing his aim for fairness, Kite states, "District 1 has a large percentage of seasonal accounts. I understand their concerns as well as those of residential members. Balancing the views of both groups helps me make fair decisions for all members."



An innkeeper by profession, Kite and his wife Carol own and manage the Forest House Inn near Austin. He also serves as a supervisor for Keating Township. Before purchasing the Forest House in 1988, Kite worked in the retail division of Exxon Corporation. Among other duties, he oversaw operations of the petroleum company's Pennsylvania Turnpike plazas.



District 1 includes the following townships: Grove, Lumber, Liberty, Norwich, East Fork, Homer, Keating, Portage, Summit, Sylvania, and Wharton.
