Gerald Ford was born in New York, New York in 1947. He received a B.A. from Randolph-Macon College in 1970 and a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1976. After clerkships for the Hon. Fred M. Taylor, U.S. District for the District of Idaho, and the Hon. J. Blaine Anderson, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth District, he joined Cravath in 1979 and was elected a Senior Attorney in 1997. Gerald practices in the litigation department.
