Dr. Belfort is the Russell Sage Endowed Professor of Chemical Engineering in the Howard P. Isermann Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to joining the Rensselaer faculty, he spent four years on the faculty of the School of Applied Science, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel. Dr. Belfort received his B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of Cape Town and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in engineering from the University of California, Irvine. Prior to joining Rensselaer in 1978, he held the post of senior lecturer at the School of Applied Science, Hebrew University, for four years. |
