George Villano joined Carter/MacKay in 1981. His initial focus as an Account Executive was to recruit sales and sales management positions within the computer and data communications industries. In 1985 he was appointed director of the company's Information Technology Group and launched the company's expansion into the software market. In 1993 he facilitated Carter/MacKay's initiative into emerging Internet technology companies. In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. Villano is actively involved with the strategic direction of the company's Business to Business division. Prior to joining Carter/MacKay, Mr. Villano was employed as a Sales Representative by Thomas J. Lipton Corp. from 1979 until 1981 and was a special education teacher at the High School level from 1977 until 1979. He is a graduate of Jersey City University where he received his BA in Special Education in 1976 and, after being awarded a fellowship, his MA in Secondary Education in 1977.
