Mr. Grieve is the President and Founder of CastleBay Consulting. Prior to founding the company, Mr. Grieve was a Consulting Principal with IBM’s Insurance Industry Service group, specializing in business and systems integration projects for leading US and Canadian insurers. Before he joined IBM, Mr. Grieve worked in US Property and Casualty companies as a Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President. In these positions Mr. Grieve undertook a series of successful technology-based projects, executed business re-engineering initiatives and ran a fee for service insurance operation. During this period Mr. Grieve was an officer, director and Corporate Secretary of several insurance and insurance-related organizations. In the technology arena, Mr. Grieve has successfully run major outsourcing, package implementation and systems development projects. During his career Mr. Grieve has performed many roles including Programmer, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Course Developer and Teacher, IT and Business Executive, and Consultant. All these endeavors have taken place in the insurance marketplace. In 1983 Mr. Grieve made the United States his permanent home. Prior to this he spent 10 years working on consulting engagements in Europe. After 25 years of success and progress Mr. Grieve retains an honest, practical, hands on approach to helping his clients realize the benefits of their business and technology investments. Mr. Grieve is an outstanding communicator and motivator. He is a leader both by example and by influence. His core beliefs are rooted in honesty, responsibility, accountability, and hard work.
