George Cox joined the Board in August 2003 and brings 20 years of experience in the accounting industry. As a Certified Public Accountant, he works with Avatech officers to drive the highest standards of excellence in its accounting and reporting areas. His mandate is to ensure that stringent audit committee responsibilities are adhered to, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Cox has been the managing member of Cox, Ferber & Associates, a certified public accounting firm, since 1989. Previous to that he owned George W. Cox & Associates and worked as an associate and tax partner for Coopers & Lybrand (Price Waterhouse Coopers) since 1962.
He holds a B.S in Business Administration from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. He served in active military service for the U.S. Army for 2 years. |
