Born on May 6th, 1961, George Clooney began working at age 5 on his father's talk show, The Nick Clooney Show. Clooney did a few radio commercials and TV pilots before landing the role as Dr. Doug Ross on E.R. This role brought numerous movie roles, starting with From Dusk Till Dawn. He also starred in such films as Out of Sight, Three Kings, The Perfect Storm, O Brother Where Art Thou, Oceans Eleven and Oceans Twelve. Clooney was one of several individuals in the entertainment industry who participated in the September 11th Telethon: America: A Tribute to Heroes and the Tsunami Relief Telethon, which were broadcast on major television networks. He is also involved with the ONE campaign to Make Poverty History, most recently attending events in Edinburgh during the 2005 G8 conference. |
