George W. Bryan became a member of the Union Planters Board of Directors in 1986. Chief executive officer of Old Waverly Investments, LLC, in Memphis, Tennessee, since 2000, he previously served as senior vice president of the Sara Lee Corporation (Sara Lee Foods)) from 1983 through 2000. He is on the board of Memphis-based Buckeye Technologies.
