Since serving as law clerk to the Honorable Frank H. Freedman, U.S. District Judge, District of Massachusetts, Mr. Hirsch has concentrated his practice on business litigation, primarily involving corporate, commercial, intellectual property, franchise, real estate, and insolvency issues. He began his post-clerkship work in New York as a securities litigator during the late 1970s era of hostile corporate takeovers. After relocating to New Jersey in 1981, Mr. Hirsch became involved in commercial litigation of almost every description. He later moved his litigation practice to one of New Jersey’s leading bankruptcy firms, where he acquired expertise in insolvency issues. Since 1991, Mr. Hirsch has chaired the creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practice at Bressler, Amery & Ross. He continues to be active in complex litigation matters as well.
Mr. Hirsch has extensive trial experience in State and Federal courts, including jury trials to verdict. He has successfully confirmed as debtor’s counsel a number of complex Chapter 11 cases, as well as participated in many of the larger bankruptcy cases of recent years as counsel to creditors, trustees, committees, and parties seeking to acquire estate assets. Mr. Hirsch also acts in an advisory capacity to clients and other attorneys in non-litigated matters.
