George Miller assumed the leadership of Community Mercy Health Partners in September 2006. He is an energetic, results-oriented leader with an excellent track record in healthcare leadership and management.
Mr. Miller came to Community Mercy Health Partners from Provena St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, Ill., where he served as president and chief executive officer and led the hospital to win the J.D. Power and Associates Hospital of Distinction Award and Solucient’s Top 100 Hospital Leadership Award. Before joining Provena Health, Mr. Miller served as chief executive officer of CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Texas; chief executive officer/administrator of Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton, Texas; and chief executive officer/chief financial officer of Twin Oaks Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas. He began his healthcare executive career as an associate administrator of Newport News General Hospital in Newport News, Va., where he was later promoted to chief executive officer/chief financial officer.
As an adjunct professor at Central Michigan University, Mr. Miller teaches graduate courses in the university’s master’s program for Health Services Administration. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association of Health Services Executives.
Mr. Miller received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University, and earned his master’s degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University. |
