George J. Stevenson has an extensive background in the merger, acquisition, valuation and sale of U.S. businesses. His firm, Stevenson & Company, specializes in the sale of closely held corporations and corporate divisions, the management of corporate acquisition programs, and the valuation of mid-size companies. Previously, Mr. Stevenson was President of another merger and acquisition company and headed his own manufacturing business. He was also Director of Corporate Development for National Tea company, where he was responsible for divesting several operating units, and a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he worked on merger and acquisition strategy plans for major corporations. Mr. Stevenson has successfully completed acquisitions and valuations in the manufacturing, metal working, material handling, food, office products, information and electronics industries. Mr. Stevenson has an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Engineering from Iowa State University. He is a past President of the Chicago Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and a former member of the Board of the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago, the Board of Directors of Tarkio College and a founder and past President of the Alliance of Business Brokers and Intermediaries. He is currently a member of the Chicago Harvard Business School Club and member of the Board of Directors of the Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries Association. |
