Mr. Barber, a director of the Firm, practices in the Insolvency & Creditor Rights Section. He has extensive experience representing secured and unsecured creditors, lessors, court-appointed trustees and committees in bankruptcy reorganizations and liquidations, bankruptcy litigation, and pre- and post-bankruptcy workout and foreclosure matters. He also specializes in out of court workouts, personal property repossession and sales under Article Nine of the Uniform Commercial Code, and real estate foreclosures. Before entering the practice of law, he was a workout banker at one of the largest banks in Dallas, where he received formal credit training and spent several years negotiating and conducting commercial loan workouts and managing related foreclosure and litigation matters.
