George G. Schwartz joined Boston Private Bank & Trust Company in 1998. He is Executive Vice President and Manager of the Deposit Management Division, including all deposit taking activity. Mr. Schwartz is responsible for managing the sales and growth for the bank's deposit base, and he oversees the regional geographic expansion activities for the bank. As Treasurer, Mr. Schwartz is a member of the bank's Policy Group and chairman of the bank's Asset Liability Committee, which is responsible for managing the bank's balance sheet activity, including interest rate risk and liquidity. Mr. Schwartz is responsible for the Private Banking Client Service Department, which has won the Best Customer Service Award four consecutive years from Boston's publication of Lawyer's Weekly. Mr. Schwartz's prior experience includes Bank of New England's International Treasury Division. In 1988 Mr. Schwartz joined Wainwright Bank & Trust Company in Boston as a Vice President and founding officer. In 1993 he was named Senior Vice President and manager of the Private Banking Division. |
