George F. Bohorfoush has over 30 years of finance experience. He started his accounting career in 1975 with Kirkland and Company (formerly known as Kirkland, Smith, Taylor and Payne) in Birmingham, AL. Mr. Bohorfoush served as a CPA with the firm for seven years. He gained a strong background in tax and audit work while advancing to the position of partner. He moved into industry as Controller for Cougar Oil, Inc. in Selma, AL, a closely-held oil company, jobbership, retail/wholesale tire store and convenience store operator. At Cougar Oil, Mr. Bohorfoush prepared all financial statements, ran day to day accounting and payroll operations, negotiated settlements with the various governmental agencies and participated in acquisitions and mergers. Following his time with Cougar, he became Vice President of Finance for Wallace Companies, the largest supermarket sales Continuity Company in the world, with offices in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Pacific Rim. With Wallace, he operated the accounting system for the U.S. operations, helped to direct marketing, sales, transportation, administration and production of all programs and managed asset-based loans and international letters of credit. Mr. Bohorfoush next became Vice President of Finance with Advantage Marketing Group, Inc. in Birmingham, AL. This is a supermarket sales continuity promotion company and one of the successors to the former Wallace Companies. In this position, he was responsible for installation and operation of a fully integrated computer system. He also prepared all financial, audit, tax and budget information for the company and several shareholders. He traveled to U.K., Spain and The Netherlands setting up banking, financial and tax facilities for the foreign operations; coordinated ocean freight and warehousing/transportation needs throughout the U.S.; and negotiated and operated various secured bank facilities, various lines of credit, international letters of credit and other banking and wire facilities. Before coming to Cebert, Mr. Bohorfoush was Vice President/CFO for Southeastern Meats, Inc. and Southeastern Meat Franchising Corp., Birmingham, AL, an institutional food sales company with six retail stores employing 150 and with a sales volume reaching $52 million annually. While at Southeastern, he installed two new computer operating systems for accounting and HR/Payroll reporting, converted the accounting system to produce internal financial statements, budgets and cash flow reports, implemented daily cash reconciliations and tracking through the SouthLink and CheckVision banking programs and directed daily and long-term planning. Mr. Bohorfoush holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. In 1977, he earned his CPA certificate. He and his wife, Sherry, have three children.
